Singer Direct Relaunches Fingerhut PIP

Singer Direct has been tapped to manage the relaunch of the Fingerhut Package Insert Program. One million packages are expected to go out this year with inserts.

The program is priced at $60 per thousand. The first distribution is in August, according to the Singer Direct in Scarsdale, NY.

The inserts are to be pre-collated into pocket-sized envelopes. Twelve inserts will be allowed per package.

Fingerhut catalog, which has been back on the market since the fourth quarter of 2002, features the same sort of products the old catalog did: jewelry, electronics, home furnishings, sporting goods, and more.

The buyers file for the catalog is not yet back on the market.

Ted Deikel purchased Fingerhut assets from Federated Department Stores Inc. in July 2002, along with partner Tom Petters. Fingerhut Direct Marketing is owned and operated by FAC Acquisitions in which Deikel and Petters are the principals.
