Online grocer WebVan Group, Inc. generated about $3 million at its first public U.S. Bankruptcy Court auction. Two additional auctions are scheduled in Baltimore, Maryland and Oakland, California.
The Vitamin Shoppe has expanded its retail operations to the Atlanta market opening new stores in Duluth and Buckhead. The company has more than 90 stores in 11 states, a monthly catalog and a Web site.
