Federated Direct, a division of Federated Department Stores, Inc., has named Peter Mendoza as senior vice president, bridal strategy and development. He has worked for Federated for 15 years.
Restoration Hardware Inc. has paid off the $5 million balance of a loan from Back Bay Capital, and has ended its fiscal year with no debt and approximately $22 million of cash and equivalents. The company plans to introduce a redesigned catalog and Web site in April. In January, Restoration reported overall holiday sales of $121.6 million, an increase of 8.9% from sales of $111.7 million for the same period a year ago. This included a 52.3% increase in catalog and e-commerce sales. Restoration is based in Corte Madera, CA.
