Footwear retailer Shoe Carnival will launch an e-commerce store in the second quarter of 2002.
The Evansville, In-based company formed an alliance with Global Sports Inc. to handle Web site design, customer service, order processing, fulfillment and buying and merchandising.
Shoe Carnival has 185 retail stores in the Midwest, South and Southeast. The company expects to generate over a half of a billion dollars in sales in 2002.
