Scholastic Book Clubs, a division of Scholastic, has appointed Hally Bayer as the company’s new VP-promotion. The appointment went into effect on Feb. 7.

In the newly created position, Bayer oversees the development and implementation of promotional programs and strategies for Scholastic Book Clubs’ monthly book club catalogs. Bayer also supervises the creative marketing department, where she works with copywriters and designers to produce promotional materials. Bayer will report to David Vozar, VP-Scholastic Book Clubs.
Bayer previously worked as VP-planning and development at Nickelodeon/MTV Networks, where she directed strategic operations and business development for the magazine division, including Nickelodeon Magazine and Nick Jr. Family Magazine.
“Hally’s experience in strategic planning and business development, as well as her extensive knowledge of the children’s publishing industry, make her the perfect person to lead our promotion department,” Vozar said in a statement.
