Reader’s Digest has put its Young Families continuity book club list on the market. The Catamount Group is managing the file, which contains 1.39 million parents enrolled in at least one of the magazine’s book programs. The list costs $95 per thousand names.
The buyers joined book clubs such as Elmo’s Neighborhood and Sesame Street ABCs.
Selections include 12-month paid members, one-, three- and six-month hotlines, multi-buyers, child’s age, child’s gender, parent’s gender and geographic selects.
Most of the names have been generated from direct mail solicitations, with a small portion coming in through telemarketing and package inserts. Buyers usually spend between $20 to $25 per monthly order, and receive several books in each order.
Reader’s Digest had recently put on the market an insert program, with offers inserted into the Young Families packages. This is also managed by the Catamount Group, which is in Bethel, CT.
