PhotoWorks Inc. reported a net loss of $467,000 for its first quarter, an improvement over a net loss of $1.1 million last year.
The direct marketing photofinishing company reported net revenue of $5.8 million for the quarter ended Dec. 27, down from net revenue of $8.4 million last year.
The Seattle-based company reported revenue from digital products and services of $944,000, up 26 % from $752,000 last year.
“PhotoWorks is making good progress toward achieving sustainability,” said CEO Philippe Sanchez in a statement. “We are working aggressively to contain costs, defend the core business and establish a core competency in the digital photo print space.”
