PhotoWorks Inc., a mail order film developer, reported a net loss of $1.05 million for the first quarter, down from a net loss of $167,000 the previous year.
The Seattle company reported revenues of $8.4 million for the quarter ended Dec. 28, 2002, down from $11.1 million the year before.
“As anticipated, our revenues from traditional film processing declined considerably and we expect that trend to continue,” said CEO Gary Christophersen, in a statement. “Our marketing and development initiatives remain focused on digital camera users and we are beginning to see results from those efforts.”
