Drug store chain Drug Emporium Inc., Powell OH, reported a net loss of $7.6 million for the quarter ended Nov. 27 quarter, a sharp decline from $767,000 reported for the same period last year. The company attributed this loss largely to expenses associated with its online unit DrugEmporium.com.
Third quarter net sales increased 9.8% to $218.5 million from $199.1 million reported for the same quarter last year.
