OgilvyAction, the global brand activation arm of The Ogilvy Group, has hired Michele Colombo, as executive vice president and managing director for the New York office.
In this new position, Colombo will lead OgilvyAction’s New York team of more than 150 employees to provide activation services to global clients, the agency said.
In 2005, Colombo joined the OgilvyAction New York office as the global brand director for Pall Mall, one of the four British American Tobacco brands. He was promoted in January to executive vice president and managing partner, leading all British American Tobacco assignments throughout North America.
Having been with Ogilvy for approximately 15 years, Colombo has played a critical role in the network, with a significant presence in a variety of divisions – from Ogilvy & Mather Milan to the Ogilvy & Mather Rightford Searle-Tripp & Makin office in Johannesburg.
