Bcom3 Group subsidiaries NOVO Media Group Inc. and Giant Step Productions LLC have rebranded themselves as Semaphore Partners Inc.
Since merging in 2001, NOVO/Giant Step has developed online marketing initiatives for companies such as General Motors, Procter & Gamble, Continental Airlines, BEA, Kraft Foods, Philip Morris and Lexis-Nexis.
Semaphore will be headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in Chicago, Detroit and New York.
Bcom3 is parent company to several agency brands, include Leo Burnett Worldwide, D’Arcy, Starcom MediaVest Group, Medicus Group and Manning Selvage & Lee. Tokyo-based Dentsu Inc. has a 20% ownership stake in the group.
In March 2002, Paris-based Publicis Groupe announced its intent to acquire Bcom3 Group. Dentsu will continue to have a significant minority stake in what will reportedly become the world’s fourth-largest marketing communications holding company.
