Nordstrom.com, the online arm of the Seattle-based retailer, has revamped its Web site (http://www.nordstrom.com). In addition to boasting a faster download time, it also features improved search capabilities and faster check-out times.
Six months of testing and customer feedback went into the site’s redesign. New features include: search functions on every page; search functions that allow for queries based on item category, descriptors, color, size and price range; one-click returns from any department to the home page; special indicators for merchandise new to the site; a savable wish list and the ability to e-mail items to friends.
The store also plans to add a live chat feature that facilitates personal interaction between shoppers and customer service representatives.
Another Nordstrom’s site, http://store.nordstrom.com/category/brands_women.asp, now features designer-specific boutiques, similar to those found on the store’s floor.
