NJ Postal Workers May Have Anthrax

Two New Jersey postal employees may have anthrax, NBC News reported at press time.

A female letter carrier had flu-like symptoms and a male maintenance worker had symptoms resembling poison ivy, said the report. Both are being treated.

Postal Inspector Tony Exposito said that a letter containing anthrax received from NBC News in New York was sent from Trenton. He would not confirm that a letter sent to Sen. Majority Leader Tom Daschle also had a Trenton postmark.

The Postal Service did not return calls by press time.
