GENERAL MILLS: Minneapolis, has extended its contract for Boodle online coupons, which are distributed via 250 newspapers’ Web sites. General Mills tested the service this summer via Boodle owner Consumer Networks, San Diego. It’s “a way for us to reach a new group of consumers we may not otherwise reach through traditional promotional vehicles,” said General Mills director of consumer price promotion, corporate coupon planning and development Karl Schmidt in a statement. He said General Mills expects redemption rates will be substantially higher than FSI coupons.
