CINGULAR WIRELESS: will pick up AT&T’s telecommunications sponsorship of American Idol, allowing 49 million consumers to vote via text messaging for their favorite Idol during each episode. Cingular Wireless bought out AT&T Wireless last year.

THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES: have lined up Modell’s Sporting Goods, Citizens Bank, Southwest Airlines and McDonald’s as partners for its 2005 in-game promotional giveaways.

POLARIS INDUSTRIES, INC.: the maker of snowmobiles, ATVs and motorcycles, is teaming with NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr. to sponsor a program benefiting the Victory Junction Gang Camp and children with chronic and life threatening illnesses during the 2005 season. Earnhardt’s performance each week will determine how many children Polaris will send to the camp at the end of the season. Earnhardt is the spokesperson for Polaris’s ATV division.

COTY, INC.: has signed a global licensing agreement with David and Victoria Beckham (soccer player and Spice Girl couple) to develop and market a line of fragrances and ancillary products under the name Beckham Beauty House. The first male fragrance line will launch this fall in Europe before rolling out in the U.S.
