NINTENDO: is hyping up the launch of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl games for the Nintendo DS system with a four-hour event at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City on April 22. The Nintendo World store in the plaza will host interactive game play stations featuring new games, a Trading Card Game play area, a movie lounge showing Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea and a Kids’ Zone for young fans. Attendees can also participate in a Poké Ball scavenger hunt, take photos with costume characters, and win prizes. The event is expected to draw more than 5,000 people.
ADPLEX: an interactive marketing services firm with grocery and retail expertise, has hired Steven Goforth as vice president of interactive marketing. He will focus on promoting the agency’s marketing and digital services. Most recently, Goforth was executive director of innovation for Catalina Marketing.
