MEDIA RIGHTS CAPITAL: has named as its president Dan Goodman, the former chief digital officer of Ogilvy Digital. An upstart, content finance company capitalized at $400 million, MRC recruited Goodman to shape and execute its digital strategy across broadband, mobile, gaming, VOD and other emerging platforms. He will focus on developing elite entertainment content, building a network of distribution partnerships, creating innovative and unique advertising opportunities and developing new business efforts in the digital realm. Goodman also founded a viral e-mail marketing company focused on referral and peer-to-peer-based communications and was the former managing director of digital at Lowe, a global ad agency owned by parent company Interpublic Group.

OLD SPICE: is auctioning off the Old Spice towel NASCAR Nextel Cup champ Tony Stewart used during the Allstate 400 race at the Indianapolis Speedway on Sunday (July 29). The bidding began on Monday, and lasts for one week, with proceeds going to the Tony Stewart Foundation, which raises funds for chronically ill children and drivers injured in motorsports.
