A new catalog of Snoopy and Peanuts licensed merchandise is slated to mail in early 2004.
United Media and Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates have partnered with e-commerce provider FanBuzz to launch SnoopyStore.com, an online store for Peanuts merchandise. The accompanying print catalog is expected to mail four time annually to more than one million Peanuts fans.
Both the online and print catalogs will feature exclusive items as well as collectibles previously only available in foreign markets.
Anthony Giombetti, a spokesperson for ShopNBC, a sister company to ValueVision Media-owned FanBuzz, says online promotion for the catalogs is planned, but could not confirm specifics. Print catalogs will be mailed to an existing Peanuts fan database culled from previous direct marketing efforts for the classic cartoon characters.
