The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. reported net earnings of $56 million for its first quarter, up from $29 million last year.
The direct marketer and retailer reported total revenue of $825 million for the quarter ended Nov. 1, up from $734 million last year.
Neiman Marcus Direct, the Dallas company’s direct marketing operation, reported revenue of $128 million for the quarter, up from $114 million last year.
The company currently anticipates comparable revenues for the second quarter to increase 7% to 9%.
