Miller Names Digitas Digital AOR

Miller Brewing has named Digitas as its digital agency of record.

Digitas will be responsible for developing interactive programs across Miller’s entire brand portfolio and will work with Miller’s advertising, promotions and media agency partners.

The work will include online and emerging channels, said Tony Weisman, president of Digitas Chicago, where the work will be handled.

The first marketing efforts are in development and will break this summer, he said.

“As we evolve our digital marketing approach, we will be looking to develop more programs that naturally engage consumers in ways that tap into meaningful spaces where they spend their time,” said Jackie Woodward, Miller’s vice president of media and marketing services, in a statement.

Digitas will work with sister agencies Starcom and Arc Worldwide, as well as Crispin Porter + Bogusky (Miller Lite) and Young & Rubicam (Miller Genuine Draft).

“There is a great energy around this,” Weisman said of marketing for Miller. “People are very energized to break some new ground.”

Digitas is also a direct marketing agency.
