Metris Companies Inc, St. Louis Park, MN, has signed a lease with Opus Northwest, L.L.C. for a new corporate headquarters. The new, larger facility will be located at I-394 and Hopkins Crossroads. Initially, Metris will lease four floors of the second building, which it expects to occupy in September 2000.
Earlier this year Metris announced it will open a new operations center in Jacksonville, FL that will house an additional 800 collections, customer services, teleservices and management employees; this new facility is expected to open in June.
Metris Companies Inc. is an information-based direct marketer of consumer credit products and fee-based services primarily to moderate-income consumers.
