Nearly 6 million subscribers’ names are available from 14 magazine titles, a Canadian master file and five other enhanced files. Among the lists are American Photo, Car and Driver, Cycle World, Road & Track, Boating, Elle, Metropolitan Home and Woman’s Day. New enhanced list segments and expanded modeling services are planned. HFM has managed its lists in house since 1979. One of our clients a leading catalog retailer based in the Northwest is seeking a Circulation Manager who will be an integral leader in their Brand Marketing team. The Circulation Manager will be a key player in the goal of maximizing revenue through development, planning and execution of catalog marketing strategies and budgets. Responsibilities will include planning of circulation retention, reactivation & acquisition strategies to drive file growth, and meet financial objectives. You will work closely with the Marketing Director and the Marketing Internet Manager to develop cross channel loyalty programs and contact strategies. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to management of list brokerage/list management activities, offline alternate acquisition programs, and catalog requestor program.
The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of catalog circulation planning and production; thorough knowledge of list industry including brokerage and management; and possess well-developed written and interpersonal skills and strong negotiation skills. The individual must have knowledge of the financial dynamics of a mail order operation, including profit and loss reporting, forecasting, budgeting and sales planning. Must be skilled at motivating, challenging, supporting, and managing people. Must possess excellent project management skills and organizational skills, be detail oriented and able to coordinate multiple tasks. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and effectively under pressure. Must be well versed in PC use and applications including Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
