MeritDirect now manages several files for publisher Clement Communications Inc. Counts range from 55,443 for a master file to 5,485 for a list of Canadian newsletter subscribers and other product buyers. Other lists identify subscribers and buyers of communications and safety products for management and human resources executives. These lists formerly were managed in house. The Clement account is part of a larger list management appointment by parent company Brady Corp. (Direct Listline, July 5).

Boutique List Services has been appointed list manager for Colorado Pen Direct. A total of 55,114 buyers’ names from the last 24 months and 40,836 from the last 12 months are on file. The average order was $150 for leather goods, desk accessories and corporate gifts. The sources are direct mail and the Internet. NRL Direct was the previous list manager.

Big Boy Toy Owners
This is a list of 51,283 sport utility vehicle owners who reportedly are available for postal and telemarketing offers. Data is from multiple public sources. It’s been overlaid with lifestyle and other information derived from statistical models. Also included is data collected from Web site co-registration, vehicle warranties, service center records and auto associations. Seventy-eight percent of those named here are men.

NEWLY MANAGED INSERT MEDIA

Eastwood Co. PIP
Choice Media now manages a package insert program for Eastwood Co. Some 200,000 shipments go out annually to catalog and Internet customers, 82% of them men, who bought tools, supplies and equipment. Up to six inserts per package will be accepted. Inserts should be no larger than 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches and weigh no more than a quarter ounce. The former manager was Millard Group Inc.’s AM/Direct Division.
