Ralph Stevens Allies With 21st Century Marketing
By Jim Emerson
Ralph Stevens & Associates LLC and 21st Century Marketing have formed a strategic alliance to jointly pursue new client relationships, primarily in the catalog and publishing sectors.
Stevens recently worked with 21st Century on a proposal that landed a list management account for 21st Century with Starcrest Products of California Inc., which includes the Gavilan’s, Make Life Easier and Traditions catalog lists. (List Process Management Inc. continues to manage the corresponding package insert programs).
Stevens will work with some account teams based at 21st Century Marketing. Both men said this business alliance will span all areas of the list business, including management and brokerage and overseeing the development of new databases.
Stevens’ company is new but he has more than 30 year’s experience in list brokerage and management, including most recently at MKTG Services. Stevens brings with him list brokerage relationships with St. Louis Magazine, Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Massachusetts Audubon Society.
“Ralph and I go back to the 1970s, said David Schwartz, CEO of 21st Century. Now we’ll work together, instead of being competitors.”
Stevens said his Boca Raton, FL-based company will remain independent, but work in tandem with 21st Century. He has already been working with 21st Century on behalf of brokerage clients.
“What I didn’t have were the backroom operations for list processing and sales,” Stevens said.
