Robert Sher Named CEO Following Alvion Acquisition
The list technologies firm Alvion Inc. has been acquired by an investment group led by Robert K. Sher, who will serve as CEO for the renamed Alvion LLC. Terms were not disclosed.
Alvion sells data management technologies for online list counts and selection; list rental and data fulfillment tools for list owners and managers, list compilers and data resellers.
Sher has previously served as CEO of Primus Marketing Group and CEO of KnowledgeBase Marketing, two firms that he founded. Sher also once served as president of Donnelley Marketing, president of May & Speh Direct and executive vice president of Metromail.
Investment partners Gary Schmidt and Richard S. Trenkmann have been named president and CFO, respectively. Schmidt previously held positions at Experian and BMG Direct. Trenkmann’s has a financial background in private equity investment, mergers and acquisitions.
Vil Ezerins, founder of Alvion has retained an equity interest and advisory capacity in the new firm.
Zuckermandel and Stanton to Lead Insert Media Council
The Direct Marketing Association has named Jim Zuckermandel and Robert Stanton as co-chairman of the Insert Media Council. Zuckermandel is president and CEO of Zed Marketing. Stanton is vice president of business development at Stanton Direct Marketing Inc.
InfoUSA Will Promote Salesgenie.com During Super Bowl
