Levi Strauss Adds Art to Brand

Apparel maker Levi Strauss & Co. is giving its brand a new look under a partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation.

Levi’s signed a licensing agreement with the foundation to manufacture jeans, tops, sweaters and jackets for men and women under the name Warhol Factory X Levi’s. The new line, which rolls out next spring, is designed to pay homage to the 20th Century American artist’s work and the Levi’s brand.

Jeans will sell for $190 to $250 and tops from $80 to $300 at top retail stores in the U.S. and Canada. Retailers can get a sneak peak at the new line at the MAGIC tradeshow in Las Vegas through Wednesday.

“This is the pairing of two great American icons to bring trend-right product to consumers looking for something truly original and authentic,” said Robert Hanson, Levi’s brand U.S. president, in a statement.
