To celebrate the syndication premiere of “The King of Queens” this fall and the 30th anniversary of Hungry-Man foods, Sony Pictures Television and Pinnacle Food Corp. have partnered for a sweepstakes offering a trip for four to Los Angeles to attend a show taping and meet the cast. The program is estimated to be worth more than $7 million.
The effort will run in stores from June through September and will be touted on 20-million Hungry-Man frozen dinner packages. Entries are found inside packages and will be accepted until the end of the year.
P-O-P displays and an FSI dropping in the top 20 markets support. Kobin Enterprises Ltd., New York City, handles for Mountain Lakes, NJ-based Pinnacle. “The King of Queens” currently airs on CBS on Monday nights.
“[Hungry-Man] is repositioning with new graphics, new advertising, and this is the beginning of their foray into the celebration of their 30th anniversary,” says Alyse Kobin, president and managing partner at Kobin Enterprises.
