Group 1 Software, Lanham, MD, had third-quarter revenue of 18.0 million, up from $15.9 million. Net earnings increased from $379,000 in third-quarter 1997 to $820,000 in third-quarter 1998.
The company has also inked $1.6 million in new contracts, which were not accrued to the quarter. “Providing comprehensive database marketing systems is a new thrust for Group 1,” said Group 1 CEO Robert Bowen. “These contracts provide a strong foundation in three different vertical markets: publishing, medical, and hospitality.”
For the first nine months of the fiscal year, the company reported net earnings of $1.23 million, compared with a net loss of $137,000 for the prior year. Revenue was $44.5 million, compared with $43.1 million in the same period of the prior year.
Group 1 Software provides software for database marketing, electronic document systems and mailing efficiency.
