Gannett Co. Inc. has acquired Clipper Magazine Inc., a direct mail magazine firm, for an undisclosed sum.
The publishing giant’s acquisition also includes Spencer Advertising and Marketing, an advertising agency; Loyal Customer Club, an e-mail customer retention service; My New Home, a direct mail service to new movers; and www.MyClipper.com, the companion Web site for the core direct mail advertising offerings.
Clipper is mailed to more than 100 million U.S. homes annually.
The magazine’s management, based in Lancaster, PA, will continue to run the company.
