Bill Gaden has been named VP-sales and subsidiary rights of the Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing Division. The appointment takes effect Jan. 5.
Gaden will work closely with the president of the division, Rick Richter, on business and sales development. He will be charged with developing revenue streams including licensing, retail partnerships and brand development. He will supervise the division’s subsidiary rights staff.
Most recently, Gaden was senior VP-marketing and consumer products for BBC Worldwide Americas. Prior to that, he worked for Golden Books Family Entertainment as senior VP-general manager, Entertainment Group.
