Equifax Inc., the Atlanta-based information firm, reported $306 million in third quarter revenue, up from $261 million a year earlier. Its income rose from $95.7 million to $107.3 million during the same period. The quarter ended Sept. 30.
Within its North American divisions, information systems generated $211.2 million during the quarter, up from $177.3 million; marketing services revenue rose to $65.6 million from $60 million, and personal solutions jumped from $23.5 million to $28.8 million. European operations slipped slightly from $35.5 million to $35.1 million, but Latin American revenue rose from $23.6 million to $34.6 million.
As far as operating income, North American information services returns boomed, jumping from $73.3 million to $91.2 million, while marketing services income ticked up slightly from $21.5 million to $22.7 million. Personal solutions fell from $4.4 million to $2.5 million. European income rose slightly, from $8.4 million to $8.7 million, and Latin American income jumped from $4.7 million to $10 million.
