The Dun & Bradstreet Corp., Murray Hill, NJ, has retained the executive search firm Spencer Stuart Associates to fill the new position of chairman and CEO of its Dun & Bradstreet operating company.
This action comes on the heels of D&B’s December announcement that it will separate its Moody’s Investors Service and the Dun & Bradstreet operating company divisions into two independent, publicly traded companies.
The previous chairman and CEO, Volney Taylor, retired Dec. 31 amid shareholder calls for new management. Clifford L. Alexander, Jr., president of Alexander & Associates and a member of the board of directors, has been serving as interim chairman and CEO.
Thomas J. Neff, chairman of Spencer Stuart U.S., will lead the search.
