Dream Dinners Distributes Liz Claiborne Magazine

Liz Claiborne is coming to dinner.

The fashion giant Liz Claiborne Apparel is launching a glossy magazine, called Liz Is, that will be distributed through Dream Dinners meal-preparation kitchens.

Dream Dinners’ 260 franchised locations will give the magazine to women who come into the kitchens to prepare up to 12 meals that they’ll freeze, then cook at home.

The new magazine carries photos of Liz Claiborne clothing and stories geared to busy women, especially working moms. Each issue is centered on a different personal attribute. The launch issue, Liz Is Smart, has tips on dressing for business without wearing a suit and an interview with Marcia Kilgore, founder of Bliss Spa. Dream Dinners will carry the issue through June.

“Liz Is dovetails perfectly with Dream Dinners concept–giving suggestions for making [a woman’s] life easier and more enjoyable,” said Lilach Asofsky, vice president and group marketing director for Liz Claiborne Apparel, in a statement.

Dream Dinners supports the launch with a discount on Liz Claiborne clothing: Women register at DreamDinners.com to get $30 off a purchase of $100 or more at LizClaiborneStyle.com. Dream Dinners promotes the offer in its June/July newsletter. The discount is valid through July.

This is the first tie-in between Liz Claiborne Apparel and Dream Dinners, a five-year-old company with franchisees in 35 states and projected revenue of $57 million for 2007.
