DoubleClick Inc. reported second quarter net income of $4.1 million, a turnaround from the $37.9 million seen in second quarter 2001. The company generated second quarter revenue of $75.7 million, down from $101.9 million a year ago. The quarter ended June 30.
“With several key divestitures behind us we have successfully transitioned this business into a higher margin technology and data marketing infrastructure company,” Kevin Ryan, the company’s CEO, said in a statement.
Among its divisions, TechSolutions, which includes revenue from its DART and DARTmail services, generated $48 million, down from $51.8 million a year ago.
The Data division’s revenue stood at $17.9 million for the quarter, down from $19.3 million. This division’s operations include its @plan research products and Abacus database endeavors.
The Media division reported $10.8 million in revenue, down from $33.8 million. During the quarter L90 purchased the DoubleClick North American Media business in a cash-and-stock transaction.
