Direct marketing guru Rocket Ray Jutkins died on Thursday at age 69 after a three-year bout with leukemia.
Jutkins, who started his long career selling steamship space by telephone, eventually working with direct marketing leaders like Bob Hemmings and Eric Smith, launched his own company in 1982 and made his mark as a speaker and author. His books include Magic Marketing Minutes and Power Direct Marketing.
A legend in more ways than one, he once rode his Harley Davidson coast to coast in 46 hours.
