DIMAC Corp., St. Louis, as it prepares to emerge from bankruptcy, plans to consolidate the production operations of DIMAC Direct Inc., currently located in both St. Louis, MO and Central Islip, NY, into its Central Islip facility. The move aligns with the company’s initiative to improve its overall profitability and cash flow.
The company said in a statement that over the next five months, 370 production positions, primarily in the printing, warehousing and mail production areas will be eliminated in the St. Louis facility. The remaining 147 positions will be in sales, account management, information services, human resources and purchasing and accounting.
About 145 positions will be added in Central Islip, primarily in direct mail production and material handling. The transition process is expected to be complete by year end, the company said.
The direct marketing services company is currently in the process of a reorganization under Chapter 11 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, DE.
