In this newly created position, Gagerman is in charge of managing worldwide publishing agents and licensees and DIC’s international licensing programs for the company’s high-profile brands, including Strawberry Shortcake and Trollz. In addition, Gagerman will oversee an in-house staff of seven and manage outside consultants and agents.

Gagerman previously served as executive director of international licensing, in which he managed DIC’s international licensing programs throughout Europe, Latin America, Canada and Asia.

DIC Entertainment further expanded its team, appointing Lorne Bloch to director of licensing and Stephanie Mente as manager of international consumer products. The appointments also went into effect on March 15.

In his new role, Bloch manages DIC’s apparel, accessories and health and beauty categories. In addition, Bloch will seek licensing partners for new properties, budget forecasting and handle business planning. He will report to Juanita Palomino, VP-domestic licensing.

Prior to joining DIC, Bloch served as manager of domestic licensing at Viacom Consumer Products. There, Bloch was in charge of generating new licensing business for more than 15 properties, including classic and current television and film properties.

As manager of DIC’s international consumer products, Mente will concentrate on strengthening the company’s international business. As part of the job, Mente manages more than 30 agents worldwide and more than 300 licensees for the Strawberry Shortcake brand. In addition, Mente will work with DIC’s newly appointed retail development consultant in Canada to develop the Trollz program in that territory.

Mente left Vivendi Universal Games, where she worked as the licensor relations supervisor, to join DIC. In that job, Mente managed relationships between Universal Interactive’s worldwide divisions and partners.
