Del Taco Names New VP-Marketing

Del Taco has promoted Joe Senger to VP-Marketing. In his new role, Senger will be responsible for brand strategy, advertising, public relations and promotions for the restaurant chain.

Senger replaces Randy Lopez, who left the company for personal reasons. Senger has been with the Mexican-American quick-serve restaurant since March 2000 and was promoted earlier this year to senior director of marketing.

Before joining Del Taco, Senger spent eight years with the Oregon-based Taco Time International.

“Since he joined the company, Joe Senger has made several tremendous contributions to the brand,” said Del Taco CEO and Chairman Kevin K. Moriarty, in a statement. “He has been an integral component in building brand awareness in local, as well as remote markets. His restaurant operations and marketing background as well as his knowledge of the Del Taco brand make Joe the right candidate to fill the VP role.”

Based in Lake Forest, CA, Del Taco, second behind leader Taco Bell, operates or franchises more than 430 Mexican quick-service restaurants in the U.S.
