Cartoon Network gives a character-building curriculum to Boys & Girls Clubs of America to reach 3.6 million kids at clubs nationally.
The CD-ROM-based program, dubbed Animate Your World: Shaping Character, teaches kids about respecting themselves and others, and being responsible members of the community. Kids use the latest in computer animation technology to create their own characters. Atlanta-based Cartoon Network gives CDs and staff training to 3,300 clubs nationally; programs begin this fall. Cartoon Network is also giving CDs to teachers.
