Bob Leflar, Founder of Revolution’s List Division, Dies

Robert T. (Bob) Leflar, a high-tech list pioneer, died on Feb. 23.

Leflar had suffered a heart attack a few days prior to his death, according to George T. Thibault, Revolution’s president. He was 57 years old.

Leflar co-founded the list division of Miami-based Revolution Software Inc. in 1992. As corporate vice president, he steered the company from a software concern to a list business, focusing on high-tech postal lists.

“His tireless efforts in sales and customer service helped build Revolution into a multi-million dollar list power in a few years,” Thibault said.

The company is now a list brokerage and management firm, evenly split between business-to-business and consumer files. Revolution has some e-mail lists as well.

“His name and his stamp are on everything we do here,” Thibault said.

Leflar was based in the company’s Baltimore office.

Leflar is survived by his wife, Laura Leflar; a daughter Michelle Leflar; a grandson, Tyler Leflar; his mother, Florence Leflar; and a sister, Barbara Jackson.
