Best Western Promotes Ryan to Marketing Post

Best Western has named Renee Ryan as vice president of marketing effective last week.

In her new position, Ryan will oversee brand marketing strategies, including Gold Crown Club International and the Best Western Travel Card. In addition, she will continue to direct field and consumer marketing programs and initiatives.

As part of her job, Ryan will look for new ways to boost media exposure for the company’s marketing programs, Dorothy Dowling, Best Western’s senior vice president, said in a statement.

Ryan most recently worked as managing director of field marketing, internal communications and consumer marketing at Best Western. While in her post, Ryan oversaw the company’s partnerships with NASCAR and AAA. She joined the hotel chain as director of field marketing in 2005.

Before that, Ryan was director of marketing and sales of parks and resorts for Aramark, a managed services provider based in Philadelphia. During her tenure, she oversaw marketing, sales, central reservations and revenue management for the company’s national parks portfolio.
