Ian Beavis, the senior VP-marketing, product and public relations at Mitsubishi Motors, resigned last week for personal reasons.
Beavis’s resignation came shortly after the automaker hired Bob Martin to the new post of director-brand marketing, according to news reports.
Martin worked alongside MMNA CEO and co-chairman Finbarr O’Neill at Hyundai Motor America.
Beavis came up with the “See What Happens” campaign, whose TV ads lured viewers away from the tube on Super Bowl Sunday to log onto SeeWhatHappens.com to see how the advertisement ends.
MMNA cut its U.S. sales projections by 29% earlier this month.
