Bacardi is seeking entertainment savvy 25- to 30-somethings with its new online viral and buzz marketing campaign.
The Planet Party theme is a “Journey from Space to Earth,” where visitors travel the galaxy and planet in search of the best places to party. The quickly discover Earth, which is the only plant that has Bacardi. At the site, visitors can explore a nightclub, load up Bacardi DJ with music mixes, dowload screensavers and find cocktail recipies. A film clip called Sucker is circulating on the Web, inviting partygoers to the Planet Party microsite at Planet-party.net/sucker.
“With this project, we are kick-starting awareness exclusively amoung a wide group of entertainment seeking, highly active online users,” Richard DiFranco, project manager at Bacardi Global Brands, Inc., said in a statement.
