AOL Reduces Financial Outlook

America Online’s outlook has been reduced by parent AOL Time Warner citing continued weakness in online advertising.

Full-year revenues for advertising and commerce are expected to be $1.7 billion, but could be as much as 5% lower. Previously the company had estimated that that figure would be $1.8 billion to $2.2 billion, according to news reports.

The revisions are not surprising. AOL is under investigation by federal regulators for it accounting practices and advertising revenues continue to slide.
