America Online has launched a new low-price dial-up service.
The service, offered by Netscape, will cost $9.95 per month for unlimited use. It includes e-mail with spam filters and Internet search enhanced by Google technology.
The marketing campaign kicks off with an auction on eBay of the most popular e-mail names. Direct marketing and e-mail promotions will follow. The marketing budget was not released.
