American Express is launching a major advertising campaign for its Blue Cash card introduced earlier this year.
A free concert starring Sting will be a key component of the campaign, to be held Oct. 7 in Chicago’s Grant Park. Sting just released his 10th solo album, Sacred Love. National and regional TV ads will be supported by print, radio, interactive media and national promotions.
Also in Chicago, commuter trains, buses and London-style taxi cabs will be fully wrapped in Blue Cash creative. Regular taxis will be outfitted with interactive touchscreens that feature Blue Cash ads. Billboards, posters at health clubs and other visual elements complete the mix.
Fans can win tickets through radio, street team events and at a dedicated Web site, www.StingAtTheBlue5.com. Visitors can also win a pair of concert tickets via a virtual “scratch-off” game at the site.
Momentum, New York and Chicago, handles.
