Amazon.com, Seattle, has invested $60 million in Kozmo.com, an Internet to your door delivery service.
In exchange for warrants to purchase additional Kozmo shares, Amazon has reached a three-year strategic alliance that allows Amazon to offer one-hour delivery on certain book, music, and toy orders. The delivery option will be launched at a later date.
The deal precedes Kozmo’s expected filing to go public in a month or so.
