Internet advertising company 24/7 Media Inc., New York, has launched 24/7 Promotions, an online direct marketing service for generating customer leads. 24/7 Promotions represents 24/7 Media’s initial foray into the promotion industry, which, according to Promo magazine’s annual report, was a $79.4 billion industry in 1998.
Working with 24/7 Media account executives, direct marketers can design a category-exclusive promotion that includes online media space on the 24/7 Network, direct response creative development, sweepstakes management and lead delivery. To develop full-service packages, 24/7 Media is working with its newly acquired subsidiary, Sift Inc., an email-based direct marketing service provider, and The Interactive Promotions Group of Interactive Marketing Inc.
Similar to online sweepstakes, 24/7 Promotions features sponsors’ products and services encouraging consumers to “opt-in” via registration to enter a sweepstakes and to obtain more product or service information, which is emailed directly to registered consumers.
