Walking magazine has partnered with Road Runner Sports to launch walkingshop.com, an online shoe store for fitness walkers. The site will include related accessories and footwear reviews from other consumers as well.
The two companies created walkingshop.com to leverage their strengths: Walking caters to fitness walkers, while Road Runner is one of the largest direct marketer of footwear in the United States, with over $100 million in annual sales, one fourth of which was earned online.
