Unilever has shifted its Ragu advertising account to Ogilvy & Mather, New York.
Ogilvy will handle integrated marketing for the pasta sauce brand, and likely will tap WPP Group siblings for promotions, direct marketing, interactive, p.r. and customer relationship marketing.
Ogilvy’s sister agency, 141 Worldwide, has been handling Ragu promotions via its New York office for several months.
The account shifts to Ogilvy from WPP-owned J. Walter Thompson, New York.
“We selected Ogilvy because of their strong integrated approach to brand building across disciplines and because of the success they have helped us achieve on such brands as Hellmann’s, Wish-Bone, Carb Options and Slim-Fast over the past two-years,” said Unilever VP-brand development Chad Scales, in a statement.
